Gerda is a results-driven and creative marketing leader with significant expertise developing strategies and programs to achieve revenue and organizational goals, including skills at communication management, product marketing, research and demand generation to help innovative technology companies grow in targeted customer segments.
In a career that spans more than 30 years, Gerda has amassed experience using data-driven insights to execute successful multi-channel marketing programs. She has strategic and hands-on expertise in content and digital marketing including extensive SEO/keyword research to drive inbound web traffic and engage repeat visitors.
She’s conducted market research, created marketing databases and designed marketing automation systems to deliver the right message to the right audience at the right time.
She was Vice President for Field Marketing at Deltek, the leading provider of software and solutions for project-focused organizations, where she managed branding, events and demand generation. With a focus on sales enablement focus, she orchestrated a multi-city roadshow that generated $2 million in pipeline and developed a get-well program to halt declining revenues in one of the company’s critical vertical markets that generated 170% increase in new business pipeline.
She also redesigned the digital / SEO program that resulted in 63% increase in keywords ranking on the top three pages to increase the company’s visibility and outrank competitors.
Prior to joining Deltek, Gerda served as Senior Vice President for North America Marketing for the global business process management leader Software AG. She managed public relations, analyst programs and launched their “Customer First” internal brand to transition from product sales to a consultative selling culture. The brand was adopted globally and promoted by the Global CEO in customer and analyst presentations.
Gerda has been instrumental in rebranding and re-positioning companies to break into new markets. At Cable & Wireless, she led the marketing efforts during the AT&T divestiture and competitive landscape to transition a local reseller into a global voice, data and internet services leader.
She developed the strategy, branding and execution of a new national tradeshow program that generated 11,000 leads and generated $4million in revenue.
Throughout her career, Gerda has also provided marketing consulting services to startups as well as major corporations including Unisys, Globoforce, Hitachi, Microsoft, Cybba and TimeTrade. Gerda holds a B.S. degree in Journalism from West Virginia University.
